Some quick news and notes for the weekend at MOYSC. 

Saturday September 24th, the Manchaca Optimist Club will be out there, giving away free hotdogs! How cool is that? They will also be out taking preorders for tamales. The tamale booth will be right where is was last Saturday, corner of the parking lot by the baseball field entrance (under a Manchaca pop up tent). The tamales are amazing every year. Please make sure to come out and show your support by, eating a hotdog, buying some tamales, or even sign up and join the Optimist Club. The Optimist is a great asset to our community, not just our ballpark. In the years before Covid, the Optimist was in really good shape, with over 100 members. Their post Covid numbers however, are in the 30’s. If you are interested in knowing how you may be able to help, please reach out. It is because of the Manchaca Optimist Club, that there is a Manchaca Optimist Youth Sports Complex. 

Reminder to park at a diagonal in the first row of parking by Softball. This is a one way parking row. It will flow in the direction, from the softball field to the baseball field. The other two long rows of parking, are traditional parking and two way traffic. The main focus needs to be the middle row must stay wide enough for a fire truck to fit through. 

Parents, make sure you keep you and your ball players hydrated!! This means starting the days before games, just as much as the day of. Some of the kids play multiple sports, they are going to need even more hydration. It is going to be another  hot one this weekend. Stay safe!
